Half the Fun of Reaching Your Goals is the Journey

Your horse refused to load on the trailer.  He missed that left lead.  He stomped all over the trail course.   He flipped out over the concession stand.   She refused the last jump, and you went flying.  She tried to bite the horse in front of you.  She knocked down all the barrels.  Then, she damaged the trailer, because of a bee.  A bee!  Okay, I don’t blame her.  I hate them, too.

Take a deep breath and get over it.  It’ll make a great story to tell your friends later.  It’s just a bump in the trail and you’re not even half way there, yet.  Mark it down as experience for both you and your horse, and move on to the next obstacle.  And, there will be another day like today.  Just strap on that helmet, and hit the trail.
