In the News–Week of July 20-26 part 2

Hi, everyone.  I promised a few more links to horses in the news.   Building on yesterday’s links, Freep brings us a report on “Dogtown”, the largest no kill sanctuary in our country.  While this doesn’t specially mention horses, I feel that saving animals deserves notice.  Besides, one of my favorite channels, National Geographic is running a series on the sanctuary, starting on Sept 2.    Check out the story. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080720/FEATURES01/807200474/ 1030/ FEATURES05

Also, in the news, cross country’s Stuart Horse Trials took place on July 19th.  This competition is considered a United States Eventing Association Gold Cup Series event.  The Democrat and Chronicle reported this exciting, strenuous adventure.  Take a look at http://www. Democratandchronicle.com/ apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/ 20080720/NEWS01/807200346

I hope these links had a lighter tone then the ones I provided yesterday.   Happy reading!
